NSF Releases New Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG)

The National Science Foundation has issued a new Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG), effective February 24, 2014. You can find a copy of the new guide here.
The guide includes both the Grant Proposal Guide and the Award and Administration Guidelines. The policy and procedural guidance contained in the NSF Grants.gov Application Guide should be followed when preparing and submitting proposals to NSF via Grants.gov. Note that the proposal section of the new guide has a number of changes to clarify the format of the proposal, and requirements for proposal submission. Some of these items are specific compliance checks that FastLane will perform on the proposal – i.e., FastLane will not allow submission until they are corrected. Other items, however, are reviewed by the NSF once the proposal is submitted, which may mean returning the proposal without review. The guide is effective for proposals submitted or due on or after February 24, 2014.
