Daniel Montez (Communication) Receives SBSRI Dissertation Research Grant

Congratulations to Daniel Montez from the Department of Communication who received a SBSRI Dissertation Research Grant.

Daniel is researching the effects of intellectual humility, such as examples of how expressed intellectual humility can positively affect attitudes toward people with differing opinions and willingness to engage in online political discussion. He hopes that understanding intellectual humility's role in mitigating incivility and animosity online will provide a model for organizations and individuals to practice in everyday conversations.
