CLIMAS Environment and Society Fellowship Application Now Open!
The Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) Environment and Society Graduate Fellowship Program application is now open! Up to four fellowships of $5,000 each will be awarded to University of Arizona graduate students whose work is focused on collaborative environmental research or outreach. These fellowships support projects occurring between May 2026 and May 2027 that incorporate a collaborative approach with a partner or stakeholder such as an organization, community, or person affected by the research outcomes.
Applications are due March 2, 2026 at 11:59pm. One letter of support from the student's graduate advisor is required. Semi-finalists will be invited to give a 5-minute pitch about their proposed project on March 26, 2026 from 9am-10:30am with a larger review committee. Selected fellows must attend quarterly fellowship meetings (in-person or remotely) and create blog posts + a podcast interview about their project.
