Ph.D. recipients are encouraged to apply for the Abe Fellowship program sponsored by the Social Science Research Council (SSRC) and the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership. The fellowship provides support to scholars working in the following thematic areas: threats to personal, societal, and international security; growth and sustainable development; social, scientific, and cultural trends and transformations; and, governance, empowerment, and participation. The overall aim of the program is to encourage intellectual collaboration between Japan and the U.S. The next deadline for applications is September 1, 2018. To find out more, click here.
