Wenner-Gren's Engaged Research Grants fund research partnerships that empower those who have historically been among those researched, rather than researchers themselves. Designed with individuals who have born the impact of various kinds of marginalization, this funding mechanism brings together scholars and their interlocutors in the mutual production of anthropological knowledge aimed at combatting inequality and promoting the flourishing of human and more than human worlds. The deadline for Engaged Research Grants is August 1, 2021, and funding up to $20,000 can be requested. Applicants must have doctorates in anthropology or a related field or currently be enrolled for a doctoral degree in anthropology or a related field. Click here for further information. Graduate Students should pay especially close attention to the eligibility criteria, which can be found here.
