American Fellowships support women scholars completing doctoral dissertations, conducting postdoctoral research, or finishing research for publication. The purpose of the AAUW Dissertation Fellowship is to offset a scholar’s living expenses while she completes her dissertation. The fellowship must be used for the final year of writing the dissertation, and is open to researchers in all fields of study.
