Sophie Kenyon (Anthropology) Receives SBSRI Pre-doctoral Research Grant

Congratulations to Sophie Kenyon from the School of Anthropology, who received a SBSRI Pre-doctoral Research Grant. 

Sophie's project investigates the landscapes of nation-making practices that hinge on reproductive decision-making and contraceptive choices, theorizing through the lens of elective female reproductive sterilization in the U.S. She studies how a desire for permanent contraception and access to the procedure coincide with the objectives of crafting a particular kind of population and nation.
