Request for Proposals for Sustainable Environmental Projects along U.S.-Mexico Border

June 19, 2013

The Border Environment Cooperation Commission, in coordination with the US Environmental Protection Agency, is requesting proposals to address environmental issues impacting the US-Mexico border.
Proposals must address the “Project Types" being solicited to achieve the goals and objectives of the U.S.‐Mexico Border 2020 Program in the California‐Baja California and Arizona‐Sonora region for 2012-2014. The general categories for “Project Types” are: 1) promoting environmental health; 2) reducing air pollution; 3) improving access to clean and safe water; and 4) promoting materials management and waste management and clean sites. The border region as defined by the Request for Proposals is the area within approximately 62 miles of either side of the U.S.‐Mexico border.
