Proposals for WRRC grants due November 5

Sept. 24, 2012

The University of Arizona's Water Resources Research Center (WRRC) invites proposals for three research grants of approximately $10,000 under the Water Resources Research Act 104b. Due November 5, 2012, proposals should focus on issues of water security and water-related energy security, contaminants of emerging concern, water-related food safety, sustainability of supply, and innovative methods and technologies for achieving security, safety and sustainability goals. A primary program goal is to foster the entry of new research scientists, engineers and technicians in the water resources field and to educate students through significant involvement in water research. Proposals that address these goals, in addition to criteria for technical merit, will be given preference.
Faculty members at the three Arizona state universities may submit proposals. Researchers in the social sciences as well as such other fields are invited to apply. Funded projects start March 1, 2013, contingent on federal budget approval.
