NEH Summer Stipends 2014

The National Endowment for the Humanities has announced the Summer Stipends Program. Each such stipend provides $6,000 for two consecutive months of full-time research and writing. Formal proposals must be received by NEH no later than 11:59 pm Eastern Time September 26, 2013. The University of Arizona may nominate two (junior or senior) faculty members. A committee appointed by the VPR will select the two proposals to go forward to NEH based on the criteria established by the sponsor. 
SBSRI has been asked by Dean Jones to review and rank SBS pre-proposals. The pre-proposals should include a description of the proposed research (not to exceed one single-spaced page) and a brief curriculum vitae. Faculty must submit their material via one pdf to estahmer@email.arizona.edu by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19th to be considered for this competition.
