Four opportunities for new investigators available from American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant

American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant (ACS-IRG), has four seed money grants of $30,000 intended for new investigators (assistant professors appointed within the past six years). Three of these four awards are to help start research programs and gather preliminary data for a larger proposal. The fourth award targets special areas ACS has identified, including "psychosocial and behavioral research, health policy or health services research, cancer in poor and medically underserved, and childhood cancer."
Research must be cancer related, but "cancer-related research will be interpreted using the broadest definition" for both grants.
