The School of Government and Public Policy's Dr. John Tidd is a former intelligence analyst at the CIA. Although he currently teaches courses on US intelligence history, the current US intelligence system, and the use of covert action as a security policy tool, Dr. Tidd worked extensively in the anti-narcotics wing of the agency as well as an executive in the agency’s Science and Technology Division in the past. Because of his experience in intelligence and national security, Dr. Tidd’s expertise is a valuable resource for SBS students who are interested in careers in national security. His research focuses on intelligence, globalization, and the sharing of intelligence between different nations.
