Faculty: Don't get caught unprepared! Obtain an ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) today!

Jan. 29, 2020

Obtain an ORCID ID, a unique, digital identifier that distinguishes you from every other researcher and allows you to connect your ID with your professional information such as affiliations, grants, and publications. ORCID is an external agency that creates and manages these identifiers. Publishers and external funding agencies commonly require ORCIDs, and it is anticipated that many more organizations will soon follow suite. The University of Arizona has integrated ORCID with UA Vitae to enable a seamless syncing of data, making your research more discoverable.
For further information and to obtain an ORCID, please visit https://orcid.arizona.edu. If you already have an ORCID, you can use this link to connect it to the University of Arizona. Specific questions (such as how the ORCID will be used by the University of Arizona), can be directed to orcid-support@list.arizona.edu.
