Congratulations to Dr. Aimee Mapes at the English/RCTE Program who received a SBSRI Faculty Small Grant.

Students' Perspectives on Embedded Tutoring as Equity Practice examines the practice of embedding writing center tutors within writing emphasis courses. Dr. Mapes' goal is to illustrate the benefits of integrating writing tutors who attend class, work with instructors, and offer tutor sessions. This research allows her to study which aspects of embedded tutoring most contribute to meaningful undergraduate writing experiences as a High Impact Practice (HIP) in higher education.
