Call for Papers: Humanities, Medicine, & Wellness Interdisciplinary Conference

UA's College of Humanities is launching an initiative in Humanities, Medicine, and Wellness (HMW) with an interdisciplinary conference to be held February 27-28, 2014 on the UA's main campus. UA faculty members from all disciplines are invited to submit proposals for individual papers, organized panels, and/or roundtables. Applicants should work in the intersection of HMW. Research areas may include (but are not limited to): body studies; environmental studies; history of medicine; humanistic medicine; integrative medicine; medical humanities; psychiatry; public health; and religion, spirituality, and health.
The deadline for submission of proposals is Friday, November 1st, 2013. Interested UA faculty should e-mail proposals to Dr. Hester Oberman (hoberman@email.arizona.edu); please include (1) brief abstract (approx. 150 words), (2) concise research profile of presenter, and (3) availability of presenter from 10am-5pm on February 27 & 28, 2014.
