Description

The Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) awards Environment & Society Graduate Fellowships. The award is open to currently enrolled UA graduate students whose work applies to environmental issues. Up to four fellowships in the amount of $4,750 each will be awarded for projects. Project examples include: developing informational or decision-support tools, generating outreach activities based on environmental research, examining societal impacts of environmental change, analyzing the vulnerability and resilience of people and/or ecosystems, and conducting environmental science research for specific stakeholder needs. More broadly, proposals should fall under one or more of these categories: scoping research, dissertation/thesis work, a discrete 1-year project, outreach, and/or network building. The fellowship is open to students conducting research anywhere in the world.
