SBSRI promotes research in the social and behavioral sciences through outreach to SBS faculty and students, through support for your interest in internal and external funding opportunities, and through grants for research within the SBS community.

The Institute's primary mission is directed toward providing funding and support services for faculty and students in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. A secondary priority is to help with SBS research elsewhere at the University of Arizona through cooperative arrangements wherever possible. In particular, SBSRI provides support for interdisciplinary research that is not organized around a specialized set of problems. Scholars are all organized by and evaluated within disciplines but encouraged to apply their knowledge beyond disciplinary boundaries.
