The United States Department of Defense has released solicitations for four funding opportunities for the 2013 fiscal year. Short white papers are due prior to the submission of a full proposal. Please consult the solicitations for applicable white paper due dates.

The opportunities include

• Medical Modeling and Simulation (MM&S) for Military Training and Education;
• Department of Defense Minerva Research Initiative;
• Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI); and
• Navy and Marine Corps Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Programs for K-12 & Institutions of Higher Education.
